Chic, French, light describe Vanessa Bruno’s FW1415 collection. The radio sounds that were part of the music let the designs speak. Nonetheless, everything was happening very fast. The high-speed walk of the models disappointed me, in a way, as I could not properly observe all the details. The details are important to me because those are part of most of Vanessa Bruno’s designs. Perhaps it was just me, but the models felt insecure and fade, whereas the designs reflected strong and assertive femininity.
After all, this was only how I felt during the show. Though, I would not say so for the collection. Vanessa Bruno went for leopard print, detailed skirts, as well as “comfiness” thanks to soft white colour and flat shoes. And obviously, I say YES to the flats, because women DO want to be comfy looking sexy! They quite reminded me of Agnès B. kind of shoes – the Parisian style was definitely there. The material seemed light and easy to wear, even the bomber jackets. Hair down, natural make-up, and fresh feeling, it almost felt like summer in South of France, even though it is meant to be for fall (unless you live in California).
Here is what I wore at Vanessa Bruno (and AF Vandevorst). I had to quickly change between 2 shows, so I kept the same skirt… My dear origami skirt.
I also met Aimee Song, blogger of songofstyle.com, who was absolutely lovely. However, I don’t know what she thought about me because I always do that stupid smile in front of people I admire, and I never know what to say… I just stay blocked. Then I say something totally random! So yes, meeting people can be really awkward for me sometimes. At least Aimee was nice!
