Paris, liberté

Avenue du Président Wilson, 16e arrondissement de Paris. 19 janvier 2015. 12:30.

I went away a few days, left London chaos for Paris sweetness. Although the city of love got outrageously attacked by terrorists two weeks ago, jeopardising freedom of speech which is, in France, one of the most important values of our dear Republic. I still am chocked, yet happy and proud to see how French people act as one solid nation. The 11th of January 2015 – when 3.7 million people walked all together on the streets of France – is now a date to remember as well as #jesuischarlie. As a French citizen myself, I would like to thank all the other nations that supported us. I also send all my love to Australia (Sydney), Belgium and every country that got inhumanly attacked, without forgetting those that live in wars: Palestine, Israël, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and so on.

I read a lot of different opinions on social medias regarding this attack. I have lived and travelled in different countries for 21 years, and I have always been taught to respect each religion, belief and tradition. I was born in a christian country, I grew up in a muslim one, I celebrate shabat with my jewish friends, and I now study in the most cosmopolitan town in the world. I am free to say that there is one thing you should all know: it is not about the religion, it is about the man… the cruel behaviour of the man. Because, as I have been told, faith must unite people. I may not have a religion, but I have faith in freedom.

I will leave you to my photographs representing the beauty of Paris – a city of love, art and lights – taken in the 16th arrondissement at Palais Galliera (fashion museum) near Palais de Tokyo.

URBAN OUTFITTERS PRESS DAY

The Urban Outfitters Press Day at Marshall Street in London got me excited for the upcoming collection!! The store was well-known for its edgy-retro-grungy style and brands, well now you will get to see a new version of UO with new brands and a very clean-aline-minimalist makeover. I will not tell more. Let’s keep a bit of mystery until you discover the collection.

Beauty secret: No More Pore

Hi beautiful people! Today’s beauty secret is all about PORES. Pores – these sort of little clogs that look like craters as though your face was the moon, except that it doesn’t glow – they are, as you understood, girls’ nightmare. I have been asked several times how I take care of my skin, but I have only just discovered these Soap & Glory products that I have been using for 2 weeks.

Soap & Glory has a bunch of different cosmetics for different type of skins, etc. After summer, the bad eating habits, as well as being back to the city, my skin was not so glow anymore and my pores became a bit more visible. So I looked for a cream that open the pores and got to discover the Fab Pore moisture lotion and the No Clogs Allowed deep pore detox mask by Soap & Glory, available at Boots (for those who live in the UK). The mask is self-heating, how cool? It sounds silly but I was very excited to try it! And honestly? It does work. You just have to massage the texture on your face and then comes a sensation of heat as though every pore was being burnt off. To be honest, my skin was soft and looked brighter the day after. I followed this with the moisture face lotion that I use everyday. NB: the mask is to be used once a week, only.
