London Fashion Week has started! My friend, Jelka, and I went to the A/W 2014 presentation of designer Markus Lupfer. He was most known for his “humorously subversive” knitwear, putting together graphics and embroideries. This season, Markus got inspired by his own roots… Britain. He told me that the best way to celebrate the British flag was to celebrate famous Fish & Chips. So he decided to present his collection in an English Café – called “Markus Café” – looking very 60/70’s. In addition, we even had the chance to eat home-made chips in take-away boxes. It was like a real café, indeed!
Polka dots and Plaid graphics are new to the designer. Nonetheless, he did really well for a first time! Bravo M. Lupfer.
